The North Country Arts Center is sponsoring a Plein-air paint-out in the Village of Chestertown, New York on July 10th and 11th. Painters can arrive beginning 9:00 AM for sign–in and orientation either day at 6378 State Route 9, (the old Harness Shop) Chestertown.
Participants may submit their plein-air work completed during this event for display in the gallery at no submission fee. All work submitted must be framed and ready to hang.

ART in Chestertown
The North Country Arts Center is opening an art gallery in Chestertown during the months of July and August. Members will be encouraged to display up to five pieces (All mediums are welcome…painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, pottery, etc.). Artists can drop their pieces off at 6378 State Route 9, (the old Harness Shop) Chestertown, New York starting Friday, July 9, 10 and 11 between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Artists’ reception is scheduled for Thursday, July 15th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. The show will run from July 15th through September 4th. Artists are required to pick up their unsold pieces Sunday, September 5th from 10:00AM to 4:00 PM.
All works will be offered for sale unless otherwise indicated by the artist. There will be a minimal submission fee of $5.00 for members and $5.00 per piece for non-members. A commission of 30% will be added to the price to help cover costs associated with the exhibit.
